IRAQ: The Role of Technology and Computers in Supporting Audit Quality from the Point of View of Audit Engineers

12.12.2025

The use of technology in the field of auditing, especially in engineering projects, has become necessary in order to reduce time and effort, obtain accuracy at high speed and dispense with people in managing audit operations. There are also challenges facing the auditing process, including the accuracy of the equipment used, the available engineering software and obtaining the necessary data.

1. INTRODUCTION

The profession of auditing engineering project has witnessed rapid development as a result of technological advancements, information technology or artificial intelligence. It consists of a set of specialized tools and engineering software for audit that have the ability to gather informations from different areas than that data is stored to be analyze and process and giving the right path that support audit quality. These technologies contribute to building high quality projects, providing services to citizens and competition between companies.

2. THE INTEGRATION OF TECHNOLOGY INTO AUDITING

The integration of technology into the auditing has extremely important future implications. The use of modern and advanced technologies (information technology) helps reduce time, effort, making appropriate decisions and evaluating the performance of those projects. One of the most important development in auditing technology the emergence of engineering programs that use artificial intelligence. These programs provide a central location for storing audit data and often use algorithms for risk assessment.

3. THE BENEFITS OF TECHNOLOGY-BASED ENGINEERING AUDITING

Using technology in engineering auditing has numerous benefits, including:

  • Accuracy: By using technology, audit engineers can solve complex operations and giving highly accurate results.
  • Quality of work: Through technology, it is possible to obtain audits projects that meet the needs of the community.
  • Transparency: Digital tools can enhance transparency.

4. THE FUTURE OF ENGINEERING AUDITING

Over the years, with the continued development of artificial intelligence and the emergence of more sophisticated programs, audit engineers can expect to see even more sophisticated tools and techniques for automating and enhancing their works.

5. EXAMPLES OF TECHNOLOGY IN ENGINEERING AUDITING:

  • Project specifications testing: Standards, applications and conditions can be used to test project, determining whether the project is ideal or deviates from the technical specifications.
  • Project work progress schedule analysis: Technology can be used to analysis project progress schedules to identify deviations and evaluate planned and actual project ratios.
  • Auditing reporting: Technology can be used to provide a detailed audit report more efficiently.

6. CONCLUSION

The use of advanced engineering technology and software in the engineering auditing process is of paramount importance by entering data and finding digital solutions, audit engineers can enhance their efficiency, improve the quality of their work, the ability to find solutions to any engineering problem and deliver ideal projects to clients, these technologies contribute to the decision-making process and improve production.
