A lively e-Seminar on IT costs held

Over 200 participants from 55 countries took part in the ITWG e-Seminar “Government Spending on ICT – Under Control?“ hosted online by the Secretariat on 24 April.

Various SAIs talked about their experiences with examining government spending on ICT, and a IT project lifecycle framework was covered which is helpful for both, gaining a cross-cutting overview of public sector IT spending as well as assessing concrete IT projects. A lively panel discussion with representatives from public and private sector as well as from the SAIs explored the different entry points for SAIs which can contribute to a more systematic, efficient and impactful management of governmental IT costs.  Please see here for more information and materials of the e-Seminar.
